The financial might of the Premier League has helped its clubs acquire and accumulate most of the best talent in football. SafeBettingSites.com looked at profiles of the 100 most expensive footballers and found out that 53 of them currently play in the Premier League.

We analyzed the profiles of the 100 most expensive footballers on Transfermarkt. As per the analysis, the Premier League is the home to the majority of top players currently. As stated above, 53 of the most valuable footballers in the current market play in the top tier of English football.

La Liga comes second, but it is way behind the English league with only 16 players in the list of 100 most valuable footballers. The Bundesliga is next with 14 players. However, only three of those players come from clubs not named Bayern Munich in the German top tier.

Ligue 1 is next with ten players with nine names featuring courtesy of Paris Saint-Germain. Serie A comes last with six players.

Unsurprisingly, all of the 100 most valuable players currently play in either of the top five European leagues.

When we look at the club-wise representation, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are the leaders, with 11 players each. Both of these clubs are followed by three clubs tied at nine players – Barcelona, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain. Liverpool and Real Madrid are next on the list, with seven players each.

The Premier League duo of Manchester United and Chelsea are next with six and five players, respectively. The tenth spot on the list is shared by four clubs with three players each – Aston Villa, Inter Milan, Newcastle United, and Tottenham.

France might have lost to Argentina in the World Cup final, but it still continues to be the hotbed for the next generation of football talent. Les Blues leads the international list with 15 out of 100 most valuable players coming from the south European nation.

England, the home of the Premier League, is next on the list with 13 players, closely followed by Brazil with 12. Portugal is next on the list with nine players.

World champions Argentina and European giants Germany share the fifth spot with six players each.
