NATO chief pledges to do Whatever we can” to support Ukraine in the long-term and will ensure there will be unhindered military and economic assistance.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the “stronger” the alliances support the sooner the “war can end.”

Stoltenberg told the BBC, “We need to do whatever we can <…> to pledge more long-term support to Ukraine.

The stronger our support for Ukraine, the sooner the war can end.”

NATO chief warned the world is growing more and more dangerous and placed nuclear weapons on standby as the West could soon be facing two “nuclear powered” adversaries.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph the NATO chief said that the alliance have started consultations over the need to place nuclear weapons on alert.

The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said NAOT’s statements are “nothing else but an escalation.”

“This is nothing new. NATO has had nuclear deterrence since we were founded and we are transparent about this, so there are no changes,” Stoltenberg insisted.

The NATO chief said, this is not an escalation, “not at all.”

He accused Russia of “escalating by having a lot of dangerous nuclear rhetoric, but also by actually threatening to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Nuclear weapons shall never be used and a nuclear war shall never be fought and cannot be won,” he added.
