Richard Huffer

Property group Eddisons has made several director-level appointments in the South West and South Coast as part of a programme of 17 promotions across the firm nationally.

Richard Huffer has been promoted to regional director, a new role spanning its Hampshire offices.

Valuation specialist Huffer joined the firm as a senior member of the Daniells Harrison team, which was acquired by fast-growing Eddisons in 2022 and employs 27 people across its Fareham, Bournemouth and Isle of Wight offices.

Hampshire-based Eddisons director Chris Daniells said: “Congratulations to Richard on his well-deserved promotion to regional director. Eddisons is one of the fastest growing property firms in the UK and that is undoubtedly down to the excellence, expertise and passion of our people.”

Meanwhile, Eddisons has appointed Ania Packman as a director and Barney Mather as an associate director across its South West offices.

Ania Packman

Based in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Packman is a valuation expert with over 20 years’ property industry experience. She joins Eddisons from Taunton firm Greenslade Taylor Hunt and was previously a partner and regional surveyor at London agency Allsop.

Also a valuation specialist, Mather joins Eddisons from the Valuation Office Agency. Prior to that he was a chartered surveyor with Andrew Forbes, the independent Bristol firm acquired by Eddisons last year. He will be based primarily in the firm’s Bristol office, covering the whole of the South West region.

Barnaby Mather

Eddisons South West and South Wales regional director David Chichester said: “We are really pleased to welcome Ania to the team and to have our colleague Barney back with us again. Both are highly experienced valuations professionals with in-depth experience and understanding of the commercial and residential markets here in the South West.”

Eddisons employs 18 people at its Bristol office with further hires planned later this year. The firm’s South West and South Wales region incorporates a further five offices in Cardiff, Bath, Cheltenham, Swindon and Exeter.

The appointments come as Eddisons continues what it describes as its “aggressive growth strategy”. The business has made ten acquisitions since 2015, four of which were completed in 2023. It now employs around 500 people across 30 UK offices.
