For the year 2025, it has been agreed by Formula 1 that the sprint races will be held in six prominent venues, out of which China and Qatar are included. Of special mention, Belgium rejoins the sprint schedule after having participated in the previous year, 2023, with various tracks. The season will feature sprint races in China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Brazil, and Qatar.

Notably, these venues are a blend of both the conventional and the contemporary circuits, all of which focus on F1’s international appeal and the variation of the racing milieu. While March 2025, when the new season starts, is still a long way off, it’s time to pay attention to other types of competitions. MelBet create account takes literally a couple of seconds and opens access to bets on dozens of sports – including, of course, F1.

Venues: A global sprint showcase

Some changes to the sprint race format are brought in from the 2025 season. However, the structures of previous years did not show such a clear distinction since the position of the cars in the sprint race determined the position in the main event. Fridays are now featuring a qualifying session that, in turn, sets the grid for a sprint race only. This change enables the teams to move their strategies apart for the sprint and the main grand prix, making it slightly more complex. It is worth noting that the new format is still being developed, with discussions concerning the changes still taking place.

Rules and technical tweaks: Keeping the competition fresh

There are a few key rule changes on the horizon for the 2025 F1 season as F1 gears up for radical changes in 2026. The current power unit configuration, including the MGU-H, will be replaced; hence, this season is the last for it. Also, new weight rules governing drivers and cars in the game have been implemented.

Which points of the rules have been changed?

  • Driver weight limit increased to 82 kg
  • Minimum car weight set at 800 kg
  • Final season using MGU-H engines

These changes set the stage for the new technical regulations expected in 2026. The new season will probably see a rise in salaries, given how the stakes are rising. There are rumors that Mercedes offered Verstappen a salary of 150+ million euros to join their team. However, the legendary driver is not short-changed now – at Red Bull, his fee is about 55 million dollars. Teams and dynamics: What’s new on the grid

The following are the few alterations that will be observed in the F1 grid in the year 2025. The biggest switch will be Carlos Sainz, who will be moving from Ferrari to Williams. On the other hand, Fernando Alonso, who was rumored to be joining Mercedes, will stay with Aston Martin alongside Lance Stroll. Nico Hülkenberg, following his departure from Haas, will be racing for Sauber, which will be rebranded to Audi in 2026. Such strategic developments are likely to stir up the competition, making the new season even more interesting.
