Unilever has announced they will axe thousands of jobs globally as part of a major overhaul to the business.

The group who makes Marmite announced in 2024 their restructuring plans which will lead to the loss of 7,500 job and Unilever will save around £683.9 million.

The company who also makes Dove soap said that 6,000 roles have already been axed and it is projected to save £470.2 million this year.

chief executive Fernando Fernandez Hein Schumacher, said, “Heightened global macroeconomic uncertainty is a fact; however the quality of our innovation programme, the strong investment behind our brands and our improving competitiveness give us confidence we will deliver on our full-year plans.”
