Evri is to merge with DHL Group and will form one of the UK’s largest delivery companies and together they will form 12,000 more workers and over 30,000 couriers.
DHL Group has said they will acquire a “significant minority stake” in Evri and they will deliver more than 1 billion parcels and a billion letters each year.
The firms said that the merger will provide “greater choice and cost-competitive solutions” for businesses and other customers.
As part of the merger this will now see Evri delivering letters for businesses making them a fierce competitor to Royal Mail.
