A team from Fenn Wright and mortgage partners Fitch & Fitch recently completed a 25-mile walk through the Suffolk and Essex countryside to raise funds for The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation.

Starting from the agency’s Sudbury office, the 42-strong team followed the St Edmund Way, Stour Valley Path and Essex Way to lead them to Fenn Wright’s Manningtree branch – a mission that took them over 10 hours with just a short lunch break.

The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation was named Fenn Wright’s chosen charity of the year in April 2025 and has raised £6,883 to date. The organisation was founded in 2014 in Tom’s memory and is run by Richard and Nikki Bowdidge. It supports teenagers and young adults aged 13-24 who are facing cancer and the money raised by the Foundation has so far created eight rooms and age-appropriate spaces, and more than £500,000 has gone towards funding a research project looking into targeted treatments for teenage cancers.

James Gunther, partner at Fenn Wright, participated in the walk and commented: “I am delighted that we were able to exceed the target we set, with the wonderful support of our colleagues, clients, family and friends. Thank you to everyone who so generously donated and sent messages of encouragement throughout the day. The Tom Bowdidge Foundation is an incredible charity that we are proud to support, and it was great to see Richard and Nikki as we crossed the finish line.”

Nikki Bowdidge added “We are so proud of everybody that took part.  What a fantastic event for the team at Fenn Wright to have been able to complete together, it was so nice to be able to welcome them back at the end of their challenge.”

Fenn Wright will be holding other fundraising events throughout the year, Donations can be made at https://www.justgiving.com/page/fenn-wright-tombowdidgefoundation
