Glasgow council is spending millions of taxpayers money every month to house migrants in accommodation as there is 2,544 asylum seekers living hotels or housing groups.

There is 1,795 homeless people in Glasgow who are treated as second class citizens whilst illegal migrants march straight into luxury accommodation.

Glasgow is spending £4.5 million every month to pay for the illegal migrants, meanwhile the “streets are filthy” roads are filled with “potholes” and services are “crumbling,” under the Labour government.

Glasgow Tory MSP Annie Wells told The Sun newspaper, “Glasgow is already in the grip of a housing emergency due to SNP budget cuts it can’t continue to absorb refugees at this rate without an urgent policy and funding change.

“Glaswegians have had to cope with pothole-ridden roads, filthy streets and crumbling services. They should not have to keep paying more while getting less.”

A council spokesman added, “More than 44% of all homeless presentations are from refugees, but the UK Government does not provide the city with any resources to meet their needs.”

The government said, “We are working to give councils as much notice as possible of newly recognised refugees and have mobilised liaison officers to support asylum seekers in Glasgow.”

The Scottish government said, “We support the call that the UK Government must provide adequate funding to support refugees.”
