Cullen Kilshaw has announced the strengthening of its estate agency and legal services across the South of Scotland following a new partnership with McKinnon Forbes Solicitors.
This strategic merger marks a significant step in expanding Cullen Kilshaw’s estate agency presence into East Lothian, enhancing its regional footprint while safeguarding the long-term interests of both clients and staff.
McKinnon Forbes has been a trusted name in Tranent since 1989. Founders Yvonne McKinnon and Susan Forbes, along with their experienced team, will continue to serve clients from their existing Tranent office, now supported by Cullen Kilshaw’s wider network of solicitors and estate agents across the South of Scotland.
McKinnon said: “Our priority has always been to protect our clients’ interests and provide a dependable service. By joining forces with Cullen Kilshaw, we are ensuring continuity while opening the door to an even broader range of expertise.”
Forbes added: “Clients can be reassured that our service will remain the same — accessible, personal, and professional. All existing Wills, Titles, Powers of Attorney, and client funds will be securely maintained, and our policies for meetings and consultations remain unchanged.”
For Cullen Kilshaw, this collaboration represents the firm’s first office in East Lothian. Led by proprietors Ross and David Kilshaw alongside their partners, the firm continues to invest in community-based legal and property services that are both accessible and affordable.
David Kilshaw commented: “We are delighted to welcome Yvonne, Susan, and their team. Like us, McKinnon Forbes has built a strong reputation through personal service and local relationships. Together, we look forward to maintaining and developing a quality service for clients across East Lothian and the Borders.”
