Rightmove is running a live webinar with senior government housing directors to answer questions from agents about the Renters’ Rights Act.

The one-hour webinar is taking place this coming Thursday, December 4, kicking of at 10am.

Stephanie Kvam, Deputy Director for PRS Housing Redress and Regulatory Systems at MHCLG, and Ross McInnes, Deputy Director for PRS Strategy, Security and Standards at MHCLG, will break down the Act and answer the most pressing questions on compliance and timelines.

Kvam leads reforms to improve tenants’ experiences in the private rented sector and brings over 20 years’ housing policy expertise, while Ross oversees delivery of the new tenancy system and Decent Homes Standard.

According to Rightmove, attendees can expect to leave the session with a better understanding of:

+ Rollout timeline and how to prepare

+ Impact of periodic tenancies on portfolios

+ Grounds for repossession and the new Landlord Ombudsman Scheme

+ Practical steps to stay compliant and avoid Rent Repayment Orders

Rightmove’s is supporting agents through legislative change with trusted training and resources.

Christian Balshen, Director of Agency Partnerships at Rightmove, adds, “The Renters’ Rights Act transforms how landlords and agents operate. This is a must-attend event for anyone navigating these changes. With government directors answering questions live, it’s your chance to get clarity straight from the source.”

Agents can sign up now via the Rightmove Hub to secure a place.
