Welcome to the Standard’s guide to New Year’s clubbing in London. New Year’s Eve is notoriously tricky to navigate: which club, which night, which DJ? Should you arrive for the countdown or slink in after midnight? Do your friends share the same musical tastes, or will half of them spend the evening looking pained? Do you need an outside space? And crucially, do you actually want to dance, or do you just want to say you went dancing?

Exhausting, isn’t it? But here’s the thing: it’s too late to agonise. Book something, anything, before everything sells out. Below, we’ve rounded up the best nights the capital has to offer for New Year’s Eve 2025 (plus an option for the genuinely unhinged, who fancy partying on New Year’s Day 2026 instead). Rally your friends, strong-arm them into agreement, and buy the tickets. They’ll thank you when they’re not standing in Trafalgar Square at 11pm wondering what went wrong.

Why not have an intimate clubbing experience this New Year’s Eve? Like at Venue MOT, one of London’s best clubs. Don’t let the vaguely spooky walk from the Overground deter you, it’s worth it. There’s no theme, no frills, just good f***ing music. The line-up includes NTS regular Bitter Babe, below, Rush Hour protégé Interstellar Funk and Beatrice M, one of Resident Advisor’s most endorsed artists of 2025. You might not know all the names, but MOT very rarely gets it wrong. There’s not going to be a whiff of Auld Lang Syne, I can promise you that.

XXXLarge Day & Night Festival

For those who like a bit of a playground, the Cause in Canning Town is offering one hell of a NYE bonanza, spanning 16 hours and seven dancefloors. The line-up is stacked, with big names like Special Request and Young Marco, above, taking over the decks, as well as exciting some back to backs, including a four-hour set from Francesco Del Garda and Sonja Moonear. On top of all that, there will also be live performances from Factory Floor and Paranoid London. Plus, my favourite part, a covered and heated courtyard, for those who want to smoke, vape, dance and feel the cool air on their sweaty skin.

If you’re looking for one DJ to carry you through the entirety of New Year’s Eve, you’d be hard pressed to find a better option than HAAi in Brixton. A former Phonox resident, she’s collaborated with the likes of Romy, Fred Again and Jon Hopkins, and her DJ sets have become well known as the hottest place to be at any electronic music festival.

Slipped Disc x Access NYE

Over in Hackney Wick, Number 90 is bringing together three rooms for a Christmas Carol-esque journey through “past, present and future”. Revellers in the main room will be invited to enjoy the present, with cutting-edge house, techno, garage and more delivered by Chloe Robinson, Denham Audio, Parris and SUCHI. The venue’s new Hideout section will play host to the past, offering deep groove and even deeper crates, serving up 1970s and 1880s funk, disco and house. As for what the future holds? That’s a secret, but we do know it’s taking place on an ultra-exclusive canal boat.

Fresh to Death

Corsica Studios, December 31

Not to get dramatic, but party people: rally behind Corsica Studios, because it’s the last ever NYE there before it closes! This brings with it the club’s hallowed Rhythm Section night, with an entirely unreleased line-up (as is standard) of “the very best of the best, for a price that won’t break the bank”. It sells out every year, but some tickets remain on the door, so get down early to be within a chance of getting in.

Don’t you know it’s the chic new thing to eschew NYE in favour of partying on NYD? Some of London’s most committed ravers will be at Unfold’s annual New Year’s Day bash in Canning Town, which has a queue like Berghain and a level of secrecy to match (strictly no photos). In case you’re unfamiliar, Unfold is heavy-hitting, queer as hell, ultra-inclusive and not for the faint-hearted. It literally runs for 24 hours from 2pm.
