Wall Street analysts guide investors with their research and useful insights, but some consistently outperform others with strong, accurate calls.

TipRanks, a platform that tracks and ranks analysts based on the accuracy and success of their recommendations, has released its list of analysts who stood out in 2025.

But before we move ahead, it is important to highlight that we used TipRanks’ Expert Center tool to find analysts with a high success rate. The ranking reflects analysts’ ability to generate returns through their recommendations.

Let’s take a look at the Top 10 U.S. analysts, whose ratings were most successful in the previous year.

#1. Sam Slutsky – LifeSci Capital

Topping the list is Sam Slutsky from LifeSci Capital, with an impressive overall success rate of 67.74% and an average return of 62.4%. Notably, his most remarkable rating has been on Abivax SA (ABVX), a biotechnology company. His buy recommendation on ABVX stock, spanning from April 30 to July 30 yielded a return of 894.81%.

#2. Richard Shannon – Craig-Hallum

Securing the second position is Craig-Hallum analyst Richard Shannon. Over a one-year timeframe, the analyst boasts an average return of 36.9% per rating and a success rate of 61.87%. His most outstanding rating has been on Aeva Technologies (AEVA), a sensing hardware and perception software provider. His buy recommendation on AEVA stock during the period from March 17 to June 17 produced a return of 822.14%.

#3. Joseph Stringer – Needham

Joseph Stringer bags the third spot on the list, with a 79.17% overall success rate and an average return of 38.2%. His best recommendation was Inozyme Pharma (INZY), a biopharma company. The analyst’s buy call on INZY stock generated a stellar 361.9% return between April 8 and May 16. 

#4. Myles Minter – William Blair

Myles Minter holds the fourth position on the list. The analyst has a success rate of 66.93% and has witnessed an average return of 28.8%. Minter’s top recommendation is Ovid Therapeutics (OVID), a biopharmaceutical company. The analyst generated a profit of 350% through his buy recommendation on OVID stock from June 13 to Sept. 13.

#5. Ruben Roy – Stifel Nicolaus

Ruben Roy is fifth on the list. The analyst has a 75.68% overall success rate and a 35.3% average return per rating. Roy’s best recommendation has been CoreWeave (CRWV), an AI cloud computing company. The analysts’ buy call on CRWV stock generated a stellar 293.2% return between April 22 and July 8.

Guggenheim analyst Seamus Fernandez is sixth on this list, with a success rate of 78.57% and an average return of 40.6%. Fernandez’s best call has been a buy on the shares of an immunotherapy developer, Cidara Therapeutics (CDTX). The recommendation generated a return of 244.7% from Sept. 2 to Dec. 2.

#7. Thomas Smith – Leerink Partners

Thomas Smith is in seventh place. The analyst has generated an average return of 30.7% with a 65.22% success rate. His best recommendation is Abivax. The analyst delivered a whopping return of 880.34% from the buy call on ABVX stock from April 29 to July 29.

#8. Mark Miller – Benchmark Co.

Benchmark Co. analyst Mark Miller ranks eighth on the list. Miller has a 59.8% success rate and an average return of 11.1%. His best rating has been on flash memory products maker SanDisk (SNDK). His buy rating on the stock between Aug. 15 and Nov. 15 generated an impressive return of 470.6%.

#9. Allison Bratzel – Piper Sandler

Allison Bratzel holds the ninth spot on the list. He has a 63.64% success rate and an average return of 58.2%. Bratzel’s top recommendation has been for Abivax. The buy recommendation generated a return of 894.81% from April 30 to July 30.

#10. Julian Harrison – BTIG

Taking the tenth position is Julian Harrison. The analyst has a 59.38% overall success rate and has witnessed an average return of 37%. His top recommendation was also for Abivax stock. Through his buy call on ABVX stock, Harrison generated a solid return of 1,057.12% from May 13 to August 13.

Despite macro uncertainty, these top analysts generated significant returns from their stock selections. By following top analysts’ ratings, investors may potentially enhance their portfolio’s performance as they have a track record of generating significant returns from their recommendations.
