Hitachi unveils full line of electric air compressor solutions at CONEXPO

It’s not just about emissions, and it’s not just about costs – municipalities across the country are cracking down on noise levels, and construction crews that promise quiet, emissions-free job sites are winning the work.

After proving there’s real demand for quieter job site equipment with its Sullair E1035H, Hitachi Global Air Power is doubling tripling down, unveiling two new electric portable air compressors at CONEXPO in Las Vegas this week and signaling the growing momentum for electrified equipment on construction sites where contractors are looking to cut emissions, noise, and (of course) operating costs.

“Our customers are facing rising energy and operating costs and tighter emission and sustainability requirements,” said Jerel Cole, Global Portable Product Manager at Hitachi Global Air Power. “Our next generation electric air compressors were developed to meet real operational demands – delivering the performance and air power our customers expect while helping them to operate more efficiently and responsibly.”

Applications for the low/no vibration electric Hitachi Sullair compressors include underground mining, utility work, construction, back-up air, and more. And, because of their quiet, emission-free operations, these heavy-duty compressors can be used indoors, operating longer and during off hours – without the need for complex ventilation solutions or PPE.

If you’re at the show, check out the very first electric portable air compressor deployed by Hitachi in 1979. It’s still fully functional with more than 53,000 operating hours on its clock. The impressive machine is on display at CONEXPO all this week, and serves an impressive testament to Hitachi’s baked-in dependability.
