East Yorkshire estate agent launches her own business

Linda Taylor

Estate agent Linda Taylor has launched her own estate agency business in East Yorkshire.

Taylor, who has worked in the property business for 36 years at senior managerial level, has covered all aspects of the industry in both the corporate and independent sectors, including residential sales, letting, facilities management, commercial and new homes. She has now teamed up with eXp UK.

Having moved thousands of clients over the years, many becoming repeat customers, Taylor says she chose eXp to power her cloud-based technology because it gives her the autonomy to provide a “truly bespoke” service to her clients.

Taylor commented: “I am so excited to be starting this new venture. The classic estate agent business is being eroded now that online and less expensive ways of buying and selling property have come to the fore.

“People want and deserve something different, and that’s what I am offering, a personal, one-to-one experience for my clients, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I will only be looking after a selective portfolio of clients and they will only deal with me, from our initial meeting right through to moving day.

“Not only can I help you understand the market, I will be able to offer you sound advice on how you could potentially improve your chances of a higher asking price or a quicker sale.

“I have worked through varying and extremely tough markets and I am eager to help people through the challenges of selling as well as buying. In fact, as soon as my first board went up, I was contacted for a number of valuations.”

Linda, who will be covering the whole of the East Riding of Yorkshire area including Leconfield, Beverley, Driffield, Hull and surrounding villages as well as all coastal towns and villages beyond, has also been the resident property expert in a weekly column in the Holderness Gazette answering questions on all things property related.

She continued: “Property is my passion. I love it. And as I have worked in this region for over 35 years, I have also established great working relationships with solicitors, surveyors and financial service professionals to ensure my clients and future clients have the most supportive and stress-free moving process as possible.”

Marsh & Parsons appoints new client management director

Fiona Mongey

Marsh & Parsons has announced the appointment of Fiona Mongey as its client management director.

In this new role, Mongey will lead the delivery of the firm’s client relationship strategy. In particular, she will be responsible for developing and implementing new initiatives to support Marsh & Parsons’ current prime and portfolio landlords as well as building new client relationships in these areas of the business.

Mongey brings a wealth of experience in the estate agency sector having spent over 18 years as director of the prime central London estate agency Bective, heading up their letting and property management division.

Mongey commented: “Marsh & Parsons is a multi-award-winning agency and one of the most prominent brands in London. I’m looking forward to working with an outstanding team and continuing to forge strong client relationships.”

Patrick Littlemore, chief executive, added: “Fiona has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results and outstanding client service. Her appointment will help further develop and strengthen our offering to prime and portfolio landlords.”

Lauren Baylis joins the team at Hannells in Chaddesden

Lauren Baylis

Hannells has announced that Lauren Baylis has joined the team at Chaddesden as their in-house mortgage adviser.

With more than 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Baylis has previously worked for HSBC, Sequence and Just Mortgages.

Michelle Tinson, Chaddesden Branch Manager, said: “We’ve built a great reputation and have an amazing track record locally thanks to achieving great prices for our customers over the years and now Lauren is only going to be able to enhance that by making sure our customers save as much money as possible too.

“In the current climate, every penny counts so we can’t wait to get Lauren up and running and helping us to provide the complete moving experience to our buyers and sellers.”
