West Ham took the lead in Prague against Fiorentina through Said Benrahma’s penalty, and though they were pegged back by an equaliser from Giacomo Bonaventura, Jarrod Bowen struck in the 90th-minute to end the club’s 43-year wait for a major trophy.

Rice became the first West Ham captain to lift major European silverware since Bobby Moore, in what will likely prove to be his final appearance for the club before a big-money summer move.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich have both strongly been linked with the midfielder, who has two years left on his current deal at the London Stadium having rejected a number of contract offers from the club.

Speaking on the pitch having lifted the trophy in Prague, Rice insisted no decision has yet been made on his future as he spoke about West Ham in glowing terms.

“There’s a lot of speculation going on about my future,” he told BT Sport.

“Obviously here is interest from other clubs, that’s out there, but ultimately I’ve still got two years left at West Ham.

“I love this club, I love playing for this club. There hasn’t been anything yet. My focus is playing for West Ham, enjoying tonight and seeing what happens. I’m captain of this club and absolutely love it to pieces.

“I cannot speak highly enough of this place, let’s just see what happens.”
