he Premier League returns tonight and has served up an intriguing opening game as champions Manchester City travel to face newly-promoted Burnley, managed by former captain Vincent Kompany.

City boss Pep Guardiola has already said that repeating last season’s Treble will prove “almost impossible”. He said: “It feels like it finished yesterday but we start again … it’s once in a lifetime.

“I said to the players forget about it. We climbed the highest mountain last season but we have come down that mountain now.”

Kompany, meanwhile, will know that taking anything off his former club at Turf Moor this evening will be a fine start to life back in the top-flight. Here is how you can watch along.
