ritney Spears has broken her silence for the first time amid reports her husband Sam Asghari had “filed for divorce”.
The Toxic singer took to Instagram and choose to not comment on speculation that she and the 29-year-old had gone their separate ways after just 14 months of marriage.
Instead, the hitmaker, who was pictured without her wedding ring hours after news broke of her marital issues, revealed she’s “buying a horse soon”.
The Circus songstress posted a photo of herself on Instagram riding a horse on the beach on Wednesday, writing: “Buying a horse soon! So many options it’s kinda hard!
“I can’t make up my mind. Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on?”
“So many options it’s kinda hard !!! A horse called Sophie and another called Roar,” she added.
“I can’t make up my mind! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar!”
Spears turned off comments on the post, but it quickly racked up over 204,000 likes.
Prior to her post, Spears was spotted driving her white Mercedes-Benz without her wedding ring just hours after multiple outlets reported her and Asghair’s “split”.
In photos obtained by the Mirror, Spears’ left hand was visibly bare sitting on top of the steering wheel while she sported a somber expression.
Elsewhere, Asghari showed that he too was not wearing his ring in an Instagram photo carousel he posted on July 31.
The singer and Asghari tied the knot at a star-studded ceremony at the US singer’s home in Los Angeles in June 2022.
The split was first reported by US outlet TMZ on Wednesday, though representatives for Spears and Asghari did not return requests for comment.
The outlet reported that Asghari had lodged papers that cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending their marriage and listed July 28 as the date of their separation.

Their wedding was attended by high profile celebrities including Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton.
The marriage to Asghari is Spears’ third, having divorced Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two children, Sean and Jayden, in 2007.
She was also married to Jason Alexander in 2004 but it was annulled after just 55 hours.
Alexander was arrested and charged with four misdemeanours in June last year after arriving at the address with the intention of “crashing” the singer’s wedding to Asghari.
