The latest developments in Aleksandar Mitrovic’s future are not behind him behing left out by Marco Silva, who benched the striker for the win at Everton amid Al-Hilal’s attempt to sign him. Instead, he picked up a knock and is not fit to play.

Silva said: “He is out of the game because he rolled his ankle last game. He is not doing work with his team-mates because of the injury.

“The injury is not going to be serious. He’s not going to be out for three or four weeks. It’s in the other foot [from his ankle injury last season]. It’s not the same. It was when he jumped in the game [against Everton].”

Adama Traore could make his debut off the bench.

Predicted Fulham XI: Leno; Tete, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha, Pereira; Wilson, Jimenez, Willian

Predicted Brentford XI: Flekken; Hickey, Collins, Mee, Henry; Jensen, Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Wissa, Schade
