Savvy London university students who sign up for an e-money account with Suits Me during Freshers’ Week this month will receive a tasty bonus – a £20 Uber Eats voucher!

Fintech Suits Me, which has established a reputation for supporting the underbanked, is touring 16 universities across the UK – including London Metropolitan University, City, University of London and Middlesex University London – with the aim of increasing its current 10,000 customer accounts held by students to around 45,000.

Suits Me staff will be on hand to provide information about accounts to Freshers and the application process, which only takes around three minutes.

The campaign includes a £20 Uber Eats voucher available to the first 2,000 students who open an account and make an initial £100 load on to their card.

Mardi Stretch, Client Services Director at Suits Me, said: “Students are a key market for Suits Me offering the perfect combination of instant accounts without three months proof of address, credit checks or minimum deposits.

“We have recently partnered with many top brands including Just Eat, mobile network provider Lebara, and many more, to offer discounts to all account holders.

“Our unlimited cashback scheme on purchases with selected retailers – such as Asda – are a great way for students to save on the basics whilst studying, leaving more money to enjoy the local social scene. Suits Me accounts have also proved to be especially popular with international students”.

Suits Me – based in Knutsford, Cheshire – is promoting its Freshers’ Week tour with social media posts, leafleting at campuses, attending Freshers Week events and by placing posters in Student Unions.

Customer-focused Suits Me recently announced it was introducing video meetings for account holders as an alternative to dealing with chatbots.
