Leaders Romans Group has teamed up with Alton Towers for a new clever marketing campaign to promote the theme park’s annual Scarefest spectacular.

The Alton Towers Scarefest returns this weekend – and the estate agency group is involved with the promoting the event; generating some welcome publicity for the firm.

As part of the new marketing campaign, Leaders in Crewe has created a property listing for a life-sized haunted doll house in North Staffordshire – and it even has its own council tax band. It has also be viewed on Rightmove and Zoopla property portals.

Located in the spooky village of Alton, the Victorian-style home, which is being listed to let at an asking price of £666, has a lounge compete with worn and torn period wallpaper, dining room and attic nursery.

The curious property listing went live yesterday – ahead of today’s Friday the 13th of October campaign – and is currently being marketed by Leaders.

The agents revealed they had been ‘fielding a number of enquiries’ around the property, which has a suspicious rental price of £666 per month.

Pictures from inside the property show an antique fireplace, elegant china cabinet, nursery with empty cot and a rocking horse, hinting at an unhappy childhood. Additional features have been listed as ‘restless spirit’. Further unique features include fully-opening frontage providing unrivalled ease of access and a narrow secret passageway scrawled with sinister graffiti.

Laura Aspinall, regional lettings director for Leaders, North West, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to list this unique Victorian home to those brave enough to cross its threshold.

“Its history is a little shrouded in mystery but from what we can discern it has been in the Alton family for a number of generations, with the previous owner believed to be a certain Miss Emily Alton.

“Not suitable for anyone of a nervous disposition, it does require a little work to bring some of its more unsettling features up to date.

“But once they have been completed, we hope it will prove a blessing and not a Curse for a young family who will have the stunning Staffordshire moorlands on their doorstep alongside the nearby Alton Towers Resort, which is currently holding its spine-tingling Scarefest.”

Property particulars:

£666pcm. Alton, Staffordshire. ST10

**GIANT HAUNTED DOLL HOUSE FOR LET**

A unique yet eerie property To Let in rural Staffordshire for those brave enough. This giant doll house, believed to be the only one of its kind, has a series of unsettling features and particulars to `enjoy’ and is well-used. Victorian in style throughout with a truly unsettling atmosphere and foreboding background. It’s believed to have been in the Alton family for a number of generations, most recently the late Miss Emily Alton and is not suitable for anyone with a nervous disposition. AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY.

Internally comprises of:

Lounge: Victorian in style, with worn wallpaper in need of some renovation. Cobweb dresser with damage NOT to be moved.

Dining Room: Not suitable for dining in comfort.

Nursery: Nightmare inducing décor including cot and abandoned yet moving rocking horse.

Secret passage: Dark and narrow, with UV scrawled possessive and sinister graffiti

External: Dual door full opening frontage with views directly inside the property.

Note: The previous owner of this property will not let it go easily and gaining possession would be a challenge… Book viewings at your own risk & understand there is a strong chance the property will not be able to be let out at all.
