On Saturday the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has slammed the Israeli Prime Minister as saying he is now “no longer someone we can talk to.”

Erdogan said he has “written off” Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel has responded saying that they are now “re-evaluating” their relationship with Ankara.

Turkish media quoted Erdogan as saying, “Netanyahu is no longer someone we can talk to. We have written him off.”

Erdogan said that they are not breaking off diplomatic relations with Israel, adding, “Completely severing ties is not possible, especially in international diplomacy.”

Erdogan said on Saturday that that MIT intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin is trying to mediate an end to the war between Israel and Hamas.

The Turkish Prime Minister said, “Ibrahim Kalin talking to the Israeli side. Of course, he is also negotiating with Palestine and Hamas.”

He slammed Netanyahu as being responsible for the horrific atrocities being committed in the Gaza Strip and added that the Israeli Prime Minister has “lost the support of his own citizens.”

He strongly advised Netanyahu that “What he needs to do is take a step back and stop this.”

Turkey has also recalled their ambassador to Israel, Sakir Ozkan Torunlar for consultations over the “humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.”

Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said their ambassador was recalled “in view of the unfolding humanitarian tragedy in Gaza caused by the continuing attacks by Israel against civilians, and Israel’s refusal of calls for ceasefire and continuous and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid.”

Last Saturday Erdogan threatened war against Israel and will send his army to Gaza to protect Palestinians.

Erdogan said that Israel has and are committing war crimes and have now framed the Palestinian militant group Hamas as “freedom fighters” and suggested the ground assault inside Gaza is a “massacre.”
