Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has said that Ukrainian forces has already recaptured around 50% Russian occupied territory.

However, he warned that the size of Russian groups is now three times larger than when the war started on 24 February 2022.

Yermak met in Washington with the US Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Secretary of the National Security Council, National Security Adviser to the British Prime Minister Timothy Barrow.

Yermak also met with, the German Chancellery Foreign and Security Policy Advisor Jens Ploetner and French President’s Diplomatic Counselor Emmanuel Bonne.

Yermak warned during the meeting that today the number of the Russian group in Ukraine is three times greater than at the beginning of the war, so he told his counterparts that Kyiv needs to maintain the much-needed international support.

Discussing the protection of the grain corridor in the Black Sea, despite numerous Russian air attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure, the corridor continues to operate due to the interaction with Ukraine’s partners, who are mainly from the Black Sea region.

Yermak said, “Dozens of ships have already passed along this route, which has helped reduce threats to food security in the world.

“However, to protect and ensure the operation of the grain corridor, we need additional air defense systems.”

They all concluded with bilateral agreements on security guarantees within the framework of the Joint Declaration on Support for Ukraine, this was adopted by the G7 countries in Vilnius.

A statement reads, “It was noted that the work carried out in this context will contribute to the transition of our state’s defense forces to NATO standards and Western weapons.”
