The latest anti-money laundering (AML) webinar in the Rightmove/FCS Compliance series has been announced.
HMRC Fines & New Financial Sanctions Obligations for Lettings, is an hour-long webinar to be held from 10am on Tuesday 4 March. This is the fifth year, that Rightmove and FCS Compliance have collaborated on AML learning.
Free to Rightmove members, the session will include an AML update on what is a fast-changing landscape and discussion of the latest HMRC fines. Particular focus will be given to the new AML requirements for lettings agents which are due to come into force in May this year.
Malcolm Driscoll, lead AML consultant at FCS Compliance will host the webinar.
He commented: “It’s important for all letting agents to get to grips with the AML changes coming their way. From May, letting agents face new financial sanctions obligations which will apply to all let properties, regardless of their rental value. Taking steps now will ensure that letting agents are compliant when the legislation comes into being.”
