Winkworth has launched a major training and information update on the Renters’ Rights Bill to provide legal insights and practical solutions to help navigate the forthcoming changes in the law for landlords and tenants.

A one-day training event took place in London and was attended by Winkworth franchisees and managers from across the 100-strong Winkworth network. A panel of experts comprised Dutton Gregory Solicitors, HomeLet, and RentGuarantor, with support from Winkworth’s in-house marketing and knowledge and regulation experts. An online session also took place for those unable to join the event.

Katie Roughley, Winkworth’s knowledge, regulation and learning manager, said: “With so much misinformation circulating about the Bill, we launched this initiative to cut through the noise and deliver clear, expert-led insights. By working closely with leading specialists across the sector, Winkworth offices are not only equipped to give landlords and renters the facts, but are also strengthening partnerships that place us at the forefront of landlord support.”

Gina Peters, head of property and lettings, Gregory Solicitors, commented: “There are so many new aspects to the changes that the support of a variety of professionals, from products to services, is the best way to allow property professionals to flourish in their ever more demanding role and for landlords to continue to invest.”

Winkworth has also launched a new videocast, on the Renters’ Rights Bill, with an in depth analysis of the main features of the legislation for both landlords and renters.

The videocast – see below – features a discussion chaired by Sunday Times assistant property editor Melissa York. Winkworth’s Chief Executive Dominic Agace took part, along with litigation lawyer Sam Meyer of Henriques Griffiths, and Jemma Ord, associate director and head of property management for Winkworth Blackheath and Greenwich.
