T

he summer transfer window is almost open for Arsenal to delve into a hefty set of business after their Premier League title challenge.

Mikel Arteta has teased a “really promising plan” to make the most of the upcoming market with big names such as Declan Rice targeted along with a host of perhaps lesser-known talents.

Here is your latest update of Arsenal transfer news and rumours…

Edmond Tapsoba

Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly set the price for the summer sale of star defender Tabsopa following their run to the Europa League semi-finals.

The Burkina Faso international has attracted interest from a wealth of clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that both north London clubs have scouted Tapsoba of late, with a “huge” bid of around £61m required for a defender whose game drawing comparisons to England’s John Stones.

Sacha Boey

A £14.7million bid has been launched by Arsenal for Galatasaray right-back Boey, according to reports in Turkey.

With Takehiro Tomiyasu injured until later in the year, the position could become an area the Gunners look at for a bargain addition to bolster their squad – yet Boey is said to be valued at £21m.

Elye Wahi

Arsenal have been handed a boost in the chase for Montpellier striker Elye Wahi.

The French club’s president, Laurent Nicollin, has opened the door to selling the 20-year-old with Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle also said to be keen amid talk of a £50m valuation.

“Elye has a price tag,” said Nicollin. “If he finds an offer that suits him and us, he will leave. In the event of Elye’s departure, our priority is to recruit a centre forward and then we will see if we need to complete the squad.”
