fell Tuesday following a report that the former was in talks to buy the latter. Banc of California shares were last up 8%, while PacWest shares were down 10% in recent activity after the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources close to the deal, that a deal could be announced as soon as Tuesday, when the banks report results.
