The US President Joe Biden could pull out of the presidential race within days as he has been under pressure by senior democrats and close friends.
Members of President Biden told Axios an American news outlet that his decision to pull out of the race could be announced this weekend.
Following bad polling result along with health concerns Biden publicly has been defiant, however senior Democrats said is now resigned to the fact he will have to throw the towel in the ring.
A close friend of Biden told Axios, “His choice is to be one of history’s heroes, or to be sure of the fact that there’ll never be a Biden presidential library.
“I pray that he does the right thing. He’s headed that way.”
It was previously reported that Democrat Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer advised President Biden to stand down including the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
This month Hollywood legend George Clooney wrote in the New York Times that Biden “wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020.”
Last week at the NATO Summit Biden called the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin.”
Biden’s gaffes did not stop there as he called Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump.”
The Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said that Biden is not senile and is on “good form” at the NATO summit in Washington and that he has been “across all the detail.”
After Biden introduced President Zelensky as “Putin” is immediately corrected himself and said, “President Putin? He’s going to beat President Putin. President Zelensky.
“I’m so focused on beating Putin, we’ve got to worry about it.”
The Prime Minister said that Biden has been on “really good form” at the summit as “We were billed for 45 minutes, we went on for the best part of an hour.
“He was absolutely across all the detail. We were going at pace through a number of issues.”
Sir Keir was asked if President Biden is senile, he told the BBC, “No… he’s shown incredible leadership.
“If there’s one thing that came out of the council session yesterday it was a clear understanding by everybody here that we’re faced with more threats now than we’ve faced for many years, and that we need the resolve of Nato.
“President Biden has led through some of the most challenging issues, actually, that we’re facing globally.”
