Burger fans of London, the wait is finally over! After much anticipation and excitement, Burger King® UK will be officially opening the doors to its new Strand restaurant, making it officially THE HOME OF THE WHOPPER®.

Situated in the heart of London’s iconic Strand, the new restaurant is Burger King® UK’s first opening in the capital’s city centre for years and its boldest yet.

Boasting a spacious multi-level design fit to host over 100 hungry customers, the restaurant is perfect for tourists, commuters, locals and families – whether they’re grabbing a quick flame-grilled lunch during the work day or settling down for a delicious post-theatre meal.

Burger King® UK’s Strand restaurant is fit to cater for all, with opening hours of 8am – 11pm every day,

The restaurant is also kitted out with slick and innovative new features that bring the customer experience to the next level, including a conveyor belt system that seamlessly transports freshly prepared meals from the kitchen to the staff counter.

To mark the grand opening, Burger King® UK is celebrating by giving away1,000FREE Whopper® or Plant Based Whopper® burgers to lucky customers for one day only, on April 14th 2025.

Burger King® UK fans will have to be quick if they want to get their hands on the free treats. The deal is first-come-first-served on April 14th, only at the new Strand location. To get in on the action, guests simply need to order a Whopper® or Plant Based Whopper® at a kiosk to get their burger totally free!

Not only this, the 100th customer who orders at the restaurant on April 14th will win a year’s supply of Burger King® at the Strand restaurant – that’s one lucky local. Limited-edition Burger King® UK tote bags will also be given out to mark the opening, including a leaflet with exclusive offers available on the Burger King® app – but guests will have to be quick as there are only 250 available.

Arlene Pallares, Operations Manager at Burger King® UK,  Strand, said: “It’s no secret that the Strand restaurant is one of our biggest and boldest across the whole country, and it’s an amazing feeling to finally open up in such an iconic part of the city. We really believe that this restaurant will become a go-to for hungry customers, whether they work nearby or they’re just visiting for the day. Me and the team can’t wait for burger lovers to set foot in here for the first time!”
