Chinese troops are rehearsing the invasion of Taiwan’s presidential district at a secret base in Mongolia.

Analysts are warning this is direct invasion training of a brigade size to take out Taiwan’s leadership, the troops are conducting live firing exercises at mock presidential compound.

Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te has announced they are building an air-defence system known as “Taiwan Shield” which will protect the island as China is preparing to invade.

According to Japan Institute for National Fundamentals they have obtained satellite images which shows the Chinese army has built mock structure of Taiwan’s foreign and defence ministries and also the Presidential Office.

In June NATO’s Secretary General Mark Rutte issued a warning that China could attack Taiwan as there is a “massive military buildup” of Beijing’s forces.

The Independent reported, Rutte added, “We are all very worried, of course, about the situation in Taiwan. And we also know there is a risk that if the Chinese will try anything with Taiwan, that no doubt he will call his junior partner, Mr Putin, and make sure … he will keep us busy here, if that would happen.

“That’s one of the reasons why we have to stand ready, and we cannot be naive.”

Rutte said that China is rapidly building their military and there is a visible increase in defence companies.

Maki Nakagawa, of the INF think tank warned that Beijing has “rapidly elevated” the complex at the People Liberation Army (PLA) Zhurihe training site to enable “combat oriented training.”

She added that this “is to put pressure on Taiwan and warn it that even with tunnels, there’s no escape route.”

Regional expert Dr John Hemmings, of the Council on Geostrategy warned the mock complex “can only serve as a training ground for special forces and urban combat units preparing for snatch-and-grab operations against Taiwan’s leadership and government buildings”.

He added: “China has been amassing food stocks and energy reserves, de-linking from the US dollar, mapping Taiwan’s airspace and wearing down its air force to test response times. These latest revelations just add more smoke to the fire.

“China would prefer not to test its military on a big throw, which could actually end up destroying the leadership of the CCP. But Xi Jinping has set deadlines for the military to be ready for war, and he needs all options planned for.”

Taiwan’s defence minister Wellington Koo said they are aware that the of PLA’s training and are prepared for China’s possible “decapitation strike.”

The Taiwanese President Lai said last week the “Taiwan Shield” or T-Dome project will create a “multi-layered defence” network.

He urged Beijing to “strive to maintain the status quo” then warned the “First Island Chain” which runs from Kyushu to the Philippines is under a grave threat.

He is calling on China to “abandon attempts to change the status quo in the Taiwan Strait through force or coercion.”

On 1 October the Chinese President Xi Jingping pledged to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity” and to “firmly oppose separatist activities seeking Taiwan independence”.
