Chinese President Xi Jinping looks poised to skip next week’s G-20 summit in India, according to multiple published reports citing unnamed sources. There had been hopes he might meet while at the summit with U.S. President Joe Biden as U.S.-China tensions persist, but that now appears unlikely. Russian President Vladimir Putin also is expected to steer clear of the summit.
