The director of the CIA John Ratcliffe has said that if Ukrainians are “forced to accept and unjust peace” then they “will fight with their hands.”

The CIA chief said that Russian forces are gaining territory and has warned people are underestimating Ukraine’s abilities to resist any “unjust peace,” the Kyiv Post reported.

Ratcliffe said during a US Senate hearing, “Ukrainians will fight with their bare hands if forced to accept an unjust peace.”

He said that neither side could get all that they want from any possible peace deal and the CIA does back the US President’s efforts to bring stability and an end to the war, he acknowledged Donald Trump realises that Vladimir Putin having victory in Ukraine will be dangerous for Europe.

Overnight Russia launched “117 drones” against Ukraine which proves that Vladimir Putin does not want peace and is prolonging the war.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that they have “another 117 proofs” of Putin wanting to drag out the war in Ukraine.

This comes as the US brokered a ceasefire on 25 March between Kyiv and Moscow, but Putin only agreed to a partial ceasefire and missiles and drones have continued to rain down on Ukraine.

President Zelensky said, “Last night, there were another 117 proofs in our skies of how Russia continues to drag out this war – 117 strike drones, most of them Shaheds.

“A significant number were shot down by our air defenders.”
