Clarion Gaming have announced the winning entries to this year’s Pitch ICE competition. The 12 winners faced stiff competition, having survived a public vote before being screened by an independent panel of industry experts. The lucky Pitch ICE winners have each secured a stand at ICE London 2023, which is to be held at ExCeL London between the 7th -9th February.
With up to 40,000 visitors expected at the flagship iGaming exhibition, the up-and-coming ICE Pitch winners will receive maximum exposure and a captive audience with prime location on the Ice Pitch Pavilion. They will also be able to showcase their products to potential investors on the Pitch ICE Stage, as well as network with attendees from across the gaming industry.
The ICE Pitch 2023 winners offer innovative and creative solutions to pain points and problems within the iGaming sector, whilst also seeking to make the industry more accessible to players. The team at casinos.win has put together a summary of the pitches below.
Alezian.ai
Introduced by CEO Pierre Colle, Alezian.ai focuses on using augmented reality to make horse racing and greyhound racing more appealing and accessible to younger generations. The company uses the latest developments in technology to add layers, on-screen and in real time, to enhance the racing experience for punters and spectators alike. The technology has already been adapted for use by a major French company, but Colle is hoping his attendance at ICE will allow him to expand into the UK Greyhound racing sector.
BR-DGE
Thomas Gillan, CFO, pitched a next-generation payment platform built specifically for the industry. Recent years have seen significant growth in retail and e-commerce, alongside huge changes in payment technology, including a wide selection of new payment products that have entered the markets. BR-DGE seeks to streamline this process for merchants. Estimating that 8.5 percent of all payments fail (a figure that can be doubled within the gaming industry), BR-DGE strives to rectify this with their high-speed innovative and integrated system, which provides access to over 300 payment methods. Their system also incorporates new technology such as network tokens.
Credexon
Yash Gupta, founder and director of Crexdon, is looking to launch his fantasy gaming app in the UK and India. Ushering in a new era of fantasy gaming, the Crexedon app has a variety of game modes designed to enhance user engagement and interaction. Offering a trading shares option within the sports betting sector, Crexedon allows for customisation based on risk and interaction, providing users with video highlights and commentary. New game modes are planned for the future, as well as blockchain and token support.
Linemate
Founder Matthew Konya pitched a sports betting research platform that is designed to “empower, educate and enable” users by redefining analytics for the “everyday” sports fan. Focusing on user “pain points”, the app aims to facilitate “consumer independent thinking” by bridging the knowledge gap between operators and players.
Orchadia Systems Ltd
Introduced by Operations Director Suella Maughan, Orchadia Systems highlights how many problems facing betting shops can be solved through automation. Employee overheads, age verification, staff safety, fraud, self exclusion, and delayed payouts can all be addressed easily with the Autobet automated system. Autobet has been tried and tested in Ireland, and proven to be successful, cutting overheads and making betting shops “profitable” again. The company hopes that by showcasing at ICE they can expand throughout the UK.
PlayEngine Inc.
Co-founder Dr. Laila Mintas introduced PlayEngine, an all-in-one business management system that encompasses back office, content management, and player engagement systems. A full B2B sportsbook and casino solution with in-house technology, PlayEngine claims to be the most automated and data-driven platform available, cutting overheads, enhancing customisation and addressing pain points such as shared wallets and travel wallets.
Random State
CEO and Co-founder Adam Fonsica introduced the Swedish award-winning “one-stop-shop, top-of-the-line” platform solution. Tech savvy, Random State is not your average casino, bingo and lottery provider – they are a creative tech partner that seeks to combine casual gaming and responsible gaming via player entertainment.
SG Organisations Ltd
A company that decided to let its product do all the talking, SG Organisations shunned a human pitch and went instead for a more visual experience. Demonstrating how the company unites social governance with safer gambling and strategy games, their Goalscorer game app showcases how the product can be utilised by players, operators, game publishers, advertisers and influencers, all whilst providing a low-cost, high-entertainment product.
SportsBuff
Sports viewing is changing and SportsBuff is ahead of the game when it comes to real-time fan engagement, gamification and monetisation of audiences. Allowing for real-time proprietary overlay technology on sports games, SportsBuff offers an interactive layer that provides gamification, polls, purchasing, messaging and real-time betting. An interactive game-changer for match commentators and pundits, SportsBuff smashes the fourth wall, allowing fans to be part of the action.
Sports Broadcast Media
This company provides bespoke engaging content through unique in-play streaming media services that engage, retain and entertain customers. Pitched on the premise of pre-match content becoming out-of-date as soon as a sporting event starts, and that customer engagement drop-off is inevitable at that point, Sports Broadcast Media seek to address this problem with their team of professional Premier League pundits. Through radio and TV services, Sports Broadcast Media aims to engage customers and build brand loyalty.
The Casino Factory
Anthony Keller, founder of The Casino factory, is on a mission to save casinos money and embarrassment with his Responsible Gambler business coaching and seminars, which include customer tutorials and training videos. The company’s Casino Coaches are on hand to help with IR casino consulting, pre-ops project management, training and development, wellbeing and development, and much more. Delivery utilises a five-step process that incorporates the latest online technology, NLP and modern psychology.
Vault Media & Technology Corporation
In his pitch, co-founder Caleb Dykema talked us through the benefits of Vault. Vault syncs with thousands of sportsbooks to take the headache out of keeping track of sports bets, making it easier for players and bringing all the action to one place. In the Vault app, bets are automatically tracked and there is no need for manually entry. Users can track their strengths and trends while keeping up to date with their bankrolls and net profit. In just five months, Vault racked up over 15,000 downloads on a zero-dollar ad spend. The company is targeting further growth by showcasing at ICE.
There is still time for those who wish to attend ICE London 2023 to secure their tickets. Entry is free to members of the public. Full details of opening times, stand layouts, exhibitors, and travel information can be found on the ICE London 2023 website.
