Knight Frank shakes up UK leadership

Knight Frank has appointed Stephen Clifton to the newly created role of UK managing partner.

Clifton will step up from his role as Knight Frank head of commercial, which he has held since 2018.

Head of commercial consultancy Tim Robinson will take over the head of commercial role, with Clifton and Robinson’s promotions effective from 1 April next year.

William Beardmore-Gray, senior partner and group chair of Knight Frank, said: “Stephen’s extensive experience, collaborative leadership style and passion for Knight Frank means he is exceptionally well suited to the role of our first UK managing partner.

“Tim Robinson is an outstanding operator and leader with a breadth of experience in both transactional and consultancy roles. He will be an exceptional successor to Stephen Clifton.”

Spicerhaart appoints new area director

Tom Allen

Spicerhaart has strengthened its senior lettings team by appointing a new area manager with two decades of experience.

Tom Allen is now heading up the M4 and West London region for the country’s largest independent property services agency.

Having started in the industry aged 16, Allen has moved to Spicerhaart from Featherstone Leigh where he managed two branches in SW London.

Allen said: “When the opportunity came up, it was an easy decision. I know this company is all about the people and is one I have always thought highly of.

“I am hoping I can bring my experience to the forefront here – I have managed teams since I was 18 and have coached and developed multiple people from having no experience, all the way up to management level.

“Previously, I have worked in all ends of the market from studios in Surrey and Middlesex to the high-end rental marketing, letting property up to £50,000 per calendar month, and believe these skills will benefit my new team.”

Satwant Basi, Spicerhaart’s lettings MD, commented: “It’s great to welcome Tom back home to Spicerhaart, his experience in the industry is second to none.

“I am sure his skills and knowledge of the area will have a massive impact on the team.

“He has a track record of results and developing people and I am sure that will continue in his new position.”

Oscar Rowe joins Harding Green

Oscar Rowe

Oscar Rowe has joined Harding Green under Partner Ben Scrace’s team.

Rowe, a former Chestertons sales manager of Battersea Park and Nine Elms, has plenty of previous experience working across both sales and letting – focussed primarily in and around south west London.

Rowe said: “They [Harding Green] are the best brand to support me in growing this new chapter [of my career]. Their model allows me to work closer with clients in both Sales and Lettings so that all clients benefit from the right advice and support. I am ready for this new challenge and I cannot wait to reconnect with old clients and work with new clients.”

Scrace added: “He’s [Rowe] demonstrated great tenacity and talent already in his burgeoning career and we look forward to providing him with the right platform and support to watch him reach even higher levels.”
