Colliers UK appoints John Munday as UK CEO

John Munday will be promoted to chief executive officer (CEO) of Colliers UK, effective 3 March 2025.

Munday will replace Tony Horrell, who has been the firm’s CEO for the past 14 years,

Colliers announced in June that Horrell would be retiring from his role in 2025, following his 42-year career in real estate as a capital markets expert and business leader.

Since joining Colliers in 2010 Horrell has significantly expanded the business in the UK and Ireland to create a top tier player of over 1,000 employees, with a diversified offer across transactional and advisory services.

Horrell has consistently developed the organisation through organic growth and acquisitions, focused on the needs of clients in response to evolving real estate trends during several economic cycles.

Munday, the new UK CEO, has 30 years of industry expertise. He joined Colliers in 2022 as co-head of project and building consultancy following the establishment of a strategic partnership with Paragon, where he was co-managing director.

Tony Horrell

“John has an impressive track record of creating successful businesses and leading large teams that have the agility to respond to client needs and market dynamics. I look forward to seeing him imprint his vision to further enhance our UK business and extensive organisation of real estate experts,” said Davoud Amel-Azizpour, CEO, Colliers EMEA.

Munday commented: “We are well-positioned to stand out from the competition. By focusing on the depth and quality of advice we offer, across a diversified service platform, we will meet the needs of owners, occupiers, and investors throughout the full life cycle of all asset classes.

“By investing in a diverse range of services, we will create enhanced opportunities for our people and clients. I am immensely proud to be appointed the CEO of Colliers UK and look forward to the journey ahead.”

Robert Perry, co-head of Colliers Project & Building Consultancy (PBC), will take over sole leadership of the PBC service line as Munday steps into his new role.

Beauchamp Estates appoints Ziad Hijazi as lettings manager in St John’s Wood

Ziad Hijazi

Beauchamp Estates has appointed Ziad Hijazi as lettings manager in the St John’s Wood office.

Hijazi’s new role includes managing prime rentals for clients of the agency in and around St John’s Wood.

Hijazi is tasked with building on and expanding Beauchamp Estates’ portfolio of core lettings properties in the local areas covered by the agency.

He joins the company from Savills, where he worked between 2022 and 2024, the last 15 months as an assistant manager in the St John’s Wood office; before that, between 2016 and 2022, he held the title of associate lettings negotiator at Foxtons.

Hijazi will be working closely with Beauchamp Estates’ founding director, Gary Hersham, and Jeremy Gee, MD, alongside a hand-picked team including Rosy Khalastchy, Laura Hutton and Chris Tinkler.

Hijazi said: “Beauchamp Estates is the market leader in prime central London lettings, with fantastic properties both on and off market and an extraordinary global reach, so I’m thrilled to take the next step up in my career with them. I’m looking forward to working with their established clientele, bringing on new Prime and Super Prime instructions, while also expanding their core offering, ensuring these properties are the finest in their sector. As the lettings market in St John’s Wood and neighbouring enclaves continues to go from strength to strength, it’s a truly exciting time.”

Hersham added: “As Beauchamp Estates continues to expand its impressive rental portfolio, we are delighted to welcome Ziad Hijazi as lettings manager [St John’s Wood]. With a proven track record in the Prime Central London lettings market, he brings with him excellent contacts, strong negotiating skills and a deep understanding of how to match the perfect tenant to a property, whether long term or short. As North West London becomes a new rental deals hot spot, growing in popularity with some of London’s wealthiest landlords and renters, Ziad’s in depth knowledge and skills will be particularly invaluable.”
