The Property Institute appoints BPF director of policy
The British Property Federation’s retiring director of policy, Ian Fletcher, is joining The Property Institute (TPI) on a part-time basis, as the TPI’s Senior Policy & Enterprise Adviser.
Ian retires at the end of March, having served the BPF for 23 years, and joins TPI in April. He is a Fellow of TPI.
TPI is the professional body for residential property managers in England, Scotland, and Wales. Formed by the merger of ARMA and IRPM, it stands as a trusted and credible voice, committed to driving standards in the sector to make a positive difference for its members, clients, and residents.
Andrew Bulmer, chief executive of The Property Institute, commented: “We are always looking to make appointments that will strengthen our team at TPI. Ian has long supported TPI in its work in the Build to Rent sector, for example supporting the TPI BTR Ofqual-accredited qualification, still leading the profession. A champion of mandatory qualifications and regulation of property agents, his calm demeanour, experience, and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the Institute at a time when Government is contemplating the most effective form of regulation. Ian could not be joining the TPI at a more important time.”
Fletcher said: “The interface with the sector’s customers is the most important in property. I am therefore excited and honoured to be joining TPI. I have much-admired the Institute’s work for many years in seeking to bolster education, raise professionalism, and improve standards in the property management sector. I am joining an exceptional team, which I hope to support their important work in areas such as building safety, and qualifications in the Build-to-Rent sector, a particular passion of mine.”
Clemmie Daborn joins Chartwell Noble

Chartwell Noble has announced that Clemmie Daborn has joined its growing self-employed agency model, as the firm continues to strengthen its presence across central England and the Cotswolds.
With more than a decade of experience in estate agency, Dalborn has worked with some of the region’s most respected agencies, including Balfours and Roger Parry & Partners. She will specialise in residential sales in the mid to upper market, focusing on Shropshire.
Daborn is the latest experienced agent to join the company. In just over a year since its launch, Chartwell Noble has grown to a team of 11, expanding into the Cotswolds, West Midlands, Black Country, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Shropshire. The firm also recently announced its first international venture through a strategic partnership with Home Hunts, covering Spain, the South of France and Monaco.
Ross D’Aniello, co-founder of Chartwell Noble, said: “Her [Daborn’s] extensive experience and deep-rooted connection to Shropshire will further strengthen our ability to deliver exceptional service and local expertise to our clients. Strutt & Parker strengthens national country house department
Strutt & Parker has announced the appointment of Jordan Sturgess as a senior associate director in the firm’s national country house department.
In this new role, Sturgess will work alongside the wider team, which spans the UK from Scotland to the South West, and will build on the property consultancy’s already established presence in Surrey – with a particular focus on the Ascot to Epsom corridor bordering Greater London.
Working closely with Strutt & Parker’s regional office teams, including those in Guildford, Windsor, Ascot, and Farnham, Sturgess’ appointment is a strategic move as he joins ahead of the busy spring period.
Sturgess joins Strutt & Parker from Curchods’ Prime team, where he managed multiple offices across the southern region. With over a decade of experience in Surrey property, he has led teams across both sales and lettings, opened new offices, and specialised in the prime market.
“We are delighted to welcome Jordan to the team,” said Oliver Custance Baker, head of Strutt & Parker’s national country house department. “With an intricate knowledge of Surrey’s property market and an established network to his name, Jordan’s a fantastic addition to our department. We are committed to expanding the team to build on our strong presence and maintain the high level of service for our clients that we are known for.”
Sturgess added: “The firm’s reputation in the country house market is exceptional, and I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the regional teams to support our clients during what is shaping up to be a busy year.”
