Ben Madden

Ben Madden, a west London based estate agent, is to launch Agents MVMT, an entertainment first community for estate agents, and he is looking for some stars of the industry to join him.

After years in estate agency, and a recent focus on mentoring and coaching agents around the UK, he says his passion for helping other agents has led him to launch this new project, with the view of bringing the agency community closer together and positively impacting agents mental health at this particularly confusing time in the industry.

Madden explained: “We work in a tough industry, we play a vital role in our economy and often the consumer doesn’t trust us, at times this is not the most fun job in the world. I want to help re-ignite some of that fun. Having enjoyed so many other platforms that have put learning first and gained traction, I think there is room for us to have a bit of a laugh too. We should be able to disagree and still get on, we should be able to laugh at ourselves (and each other), and we should have fun.

“Agents MVMT is going to be a platform for agents, run by agents, and probably the most intense hobby I’ve ever had. We’re going to start with social media and a new podcast, called ‘Can I get some syrup for that waffle’. The podcast will feature several agents each week, who will dissect some of the agency waffle floating about, whilst reminding everyone that we are all in this together. We’ll be aiming for a mix somewhere between Soccer AM (the Lovejoy years), Loose Women and Have I Got News For You, so no pressure!”

Madden wants to hear from anyone that would like to be involved, be that as a podcast guest, a regular contributor, or a social media warrior able to provide funny and uplifting content. He says some industry big hitters are already confirmed as taking part. To get involved email Madden at ben.madden@fineandcountry.com.

He added: “In the last few months I have spoken to so many agents that I believe need something like this, they are stressed, they feel isolated, and they’ve stopped enjoying what they’re doing. In World Mental Health Week, it seems appropriate to get this live. Let’s have some fun.”
