U.S. stocks were mostly lower in the final hour of trade Thursday as investors worried about higher oil prices, a robust labor market and whether the Federal Reserve will be able to ease up on its inflation fight. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA was up 0.1%, clinging to a gain of about 47 points, near 34,490, after trading above 34,500 earlier in the session, according to FactSet. The S&P 500 index SPX was 0.3% lower and the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP off 0.9%. Oil prices CL00 closed lower Thursday, easing back after the U.S. benchmark recently hit its highest levels of the year.
