Eamonn, 63, has now broken his silence as he praised today as a “good day,” following the resignation of Phillip, 61.
He tweeted a picture of himself beaming as his granddaughter planted a kiss on his cheek.
He wrote: “Pappa got a smacker 👄 Thank u Emilia.”
Ominously he added: “All in all that rounded off what turned out to be a good day,” alongside a face with hearts emoji.
