Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, has said Russia “can offer” a nuclear power plant for Elon Musk’s Mars mission along with other “advanced technologies.”
Dmitriev said that the tech billionaire Musk is a “great visionary” and that Russia could help the SpaceX founder with useful technology to be used in space.
Reuters reported that Dmitriev said speaking at Arctic forum in Murmansk, “Russia can offer a small-sized nuclear power plant for a mission to Mars and other advanced technological capabilities.”
He is expecting to hold talks with the Tesla founder soon which comes as the US-Russia talks is improving ties between the two nations.
Musk has previously said the humans could land on Mars between 2029 and 2031.
