Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has today reintroduced its double daily service to London Stansted (STN), following increased demand for international travel.

Emirates now serves London with eleven daily flights, including six daily flights to Heathrow, three daily flights to Gatwick, and two to Stansted.

The additional service will make it easier for passengers to connect to popular long-haul destinations from Stansted including the UAE, Thailand, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Australia, and the Maldives, offering more travel choices and enhanced global connectivity. Customers will also have more flexibility with departure times, with Stansted now offering both daytime and evening flights thanks to the reintroduction of the EK067 and EK068 flights.

Emirates resumes its second daily flight today with EK067 leaving Dubai at 14:15, arriving at London Stansted at 18:45 on Monday 1st May. The returning flight, EK068, departs Stansted at 21:10 and arrives at Dubai International (DXB) on Tuesday 2nd May at 07:10.

The flight is operated by a wide-body Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft, and offers a three-class configuration with seats in First, Business, and Economy class.

To celebrate the resumption of the double daily service on 1 May, the airline gifted passengers onboard flight EK068 with Emirates merchandise.

Richard Jewsbury, Emirates Divisional Vice President in the UK, commented, “Since the return of our operations to Stansted in August 2022, we have witnessed growing passenger appetite for international leisure tourism and corporate travel, and anticipate this will only increase throughout summer and beyond.

“Scaling up and offering an additional flight to our third London gateway will offer our Southeast-based customers greater choice. We’re also looking forward to supporting local businesses, as the belly hold cargo capabilities will significantly increase for the area, including the growing pharma industry in Cambridge.

“We are looking forward to welcoming more people to experience and enjoy everything Emirates has to offer.”

Gareth Powell, London Stansted’s Managing Director, said: “The return of Emirates’ second daily flight from London Stansted to Dubai is great news for passengers and a real boost for the airport, London and the East of England.

“This doubling of flights is a clear demonstration of the airline’s confidence in Stansted and reflects the significant demand for long-haul services that exits across the region.

“With 14 flights to Dubai a week now available, passengers from the region will have access to the airline’s global network, connecting them to popular long-haul destinations such as Singapore, Thailand, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Australia, and the Maldives through its Middle East hub. We really look forward to continuing to build our successful partnership with Emirates for what promises to be a busy summer at London Stansted.”

Serving the UK with 126 weekly flights

As of today, Emirates will be serving the UK with 126 weekly flights, including: six daily flights to London Heathrow; double daily service to London Stansted; three times daily service to Gatwick; three times daily to Manchester; double daily service to Birmingham; daily service to Newcastle; and a daily service to Glasgow. Emirates also has plans to enhance its operations to and from Birmingham, with the return of the iconic A380 aircraft starting from 1 July.

Fly better to 140 destinations with Emirates

Emirates’ extensive network spans to 140 destinations, across six continents. The airline offers its customers an unmatched culinary experience in the skies with regionally inspired multi-course menus developed by a team of award-winning chefs complemented by a wide selection of premium beverages. Customers can sit back and relax with more than 5,000 channels of carefully curated global entertainment content featuring movies, TV shows, music, podcasts, games, audiobooks and more with ice, Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system.

Emirates’ home and hub, Dubai, remains a very popular holiday and stopover destination. Visitors from the UK can take advantage of the Dubai Experience platform that enables customers to easily browse, create and book their own customised itineraries including flights, hotel stay, visits to key attractions, and other dining and leisure experiences in Dubai and the UAE.
