Winkworth has opened a new office in Clapham, South-west London. .

Ben Ainsworth, an experienced South-west London agent, is the new franchisee at the Winkworth Clapham office, which has opened in Clapham Old Town, next to the Michelin-starred restaurant Trinity. The new Winkworth office is offering sales and lettings.

Ainsworth previously worked at Dexters and Knight Frank before making the move to launch his own business, as part of the Winkworth network.

He said: “This is a hugely exciting move, opening a new franchise for Winkworth and building a team in an area where I have spent many years working. Clapham offers such a wide range of homes, from one-bedroom flats from around £350,000 to beautiful, high end period properties in Abbeville Village for £3m.

Ben Ainsworth

“Many people move to Clapham and want to stay as their lives progress. It is a great choice for young professionals, with excellent links to the City on the Northern line. Excellent schools, both state and private, and the green spaces of Clapham Commons attract lots of families. Clapham Old Town has a real village atmosphere and it is good to be part of a great local community.”

He added: “The Winkworth brand is highly regarded and has an impressive digital presence and yet it still retains its high street presence. I am looking forward to building a successful business and making the most of being part of a nationwide network.”

Dominic Agace, Winkworth’s chief executive, commented: “Ben is an excellent example of the calibre of talent we want to attract – an expert agent with a wealth of relevant experience who is keen to be entrepreneurial and build a business. Winkworth has a strong presence in South-west London and we are delighted to be supporting a new presence in Clapham.”
