A well-known estate agency founder and industry coach is determined to take out his PropTech frustrations after creating a piece of software that he hopes will appeal to estate agents.

John Paul, who built an 11-branch agency in the northeast from scratch before exiting, launched Prospector Pro last month.

The software is designed to enable agencies to exponentially improve the quality of their prospecting calls by using ethical AI to monitor calls and measure tone, sentiment and effectiveness.

It summarises every call, auto-populates the notes section in your CRM and can be used as a training tool to improve each team member’s approach to prospecting calls.

Paul, a Propertymark director, explained how he turned prospecting pain into PropTech, which he believes will give agents who use it an “almost unfair advantage”.

He said: “One of my biggest bugbears when I ran my agency group was how hit-and-miss prospecting calls were. After exiting my agency, I thought about ways to ensure prospecting was done properly and professionally.

“I was introduced to experienced software developer, Adam Collison, at a property event and talked about some of my ideas, and he said he could make them all happen.

“We’ve built everything around giving team members the feedback and training tools to improve their success rate. We’ve provided managers and owners with management tools to show them what’s working and what’s not within seconds of calls being finished.

“With all the data we’re collecting, we’re on track soon to be able to highlight what a perfect prospecting call sounds like – and this will be shared with our clients. We can identify not just the best days and times to call, but also by using AI-generated scorecards, we can train teams on the best approaches and dialogues, including tone, cadence, talk-to-listen ratios, filler words and much more.”

Prospector Pro is currently in Beta testing mode, but Paul says several agents’ reactions have so far been positive.
