Viewers will once again be taken behind the doors of some of the UK’s most luxurious homes when Britain’s Most Expensive Houses returns to our screens next week.

The new eight-part series will feature on Channel 4, with the first episode scheduled to air on 15 June, at 9pm.

Subsequent episodes will air on 5, 12 and 19 January 2022 and will include one of the finest west coast ocean front estates in Barbados.

The show, which will star a number of estate agents, including those working for UK Sotheby’s International Realty, will feature historic estates, striking apartments, along with a selection of prime central London properties.

Episode one features an impressive grade I listed terraced home which an agent has been instructed to sell overlooking Regents Park lake. Built in 1822 and designed by renowned Regency architect John Nash, the six-bedroom property commands an asking price of £29m.

Elsewhere in London, an agent has been instructed to sell a rather unusual houseboat. Moored in Wandsworth, the Prospect Belle is owned by Nicholas Bonham of Bonham’s auction house. With five bedrooms and three bathrooms, this is not your average barge, and the couple have even entertained royalty here.

In Bath, an agent shows a Georgian style mansion – D’oro House. Listed at £4.25m, the property is built on the site of a late 17th-century manor and there’s no expense spared when it comes to the fixtures and fittings.

Jasper Hone, assistant editor, Channel 4 Daytime & Features, told EYE: “We are delighted to be working with Waddell Media and UK Sotheby’s International Realty on another series of Britain’s Most Expensive Houses, allowing us all to peek inside more of the extraordinary and outlandish homes of the super-rich”.

Jannine Waddell, executive producer and MD, Waddell Media, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be re-commissioned by Channel 4 for a bumper series of Britain’s Most Expensive Houses. This exclusive access driven series will showcase the UK’s most incredible homes from castles to country estates to London penthouses; all with eye watering price tags.”

Sophie Wurzer Williams, executive producer, added: “This series will deliver even more extraordinary characters on their buying journey with the brokers opening the doors to some of the most jaw dropping properties the UK has to offer.”
