Eurozone inflation has been revised down at 2% in August which is in line with the European Central Bank (ECB) target.
Annual inflation within the Eurozone remains unchanged at 2.4% in August, and in the month food, alcohol and tobacco had the highest annual rate at 3.2%.
ECB president Christine Lagarde said the “disinflationary process is over” as the eurozone is “in a good place”.
“The domestic economy is showing resilience, the labour market is solid and risks are more balanced,” Lagarde told journalists.
She added that inflation was “where we want it to be”.
