The oil tanker Seajewel which is part of the Russian shadow fleet carrying Russian oil to Europe has been hit explosions whilst moored of the Italian city of Savona on Tuesday.
The Italian publication IVG reported that two explosions hit the oil tanker and the cause remains unknown, and immediate evidence possible sabotage as there is also damage below the waterline.
The Seajewel which is part of Vladimir Putin’s shadow fleet evades sanctions imposed by Western nations, and the tanks has allegedly been loaded at least three times in 2024, according to Ukrainian Pravda.
The crew of the Seajewel said they heard two loud bangs an the hull has concave damage which indicates where explosives may have been planted.
