Lindsey Medley with Richard Wallace-Tarry

Father and son franchisees Paul and Richard Wallace-Tarry from Belvoir Shrewsbury have successfully completed on the portfolio purchase of rental properties from Martin & Co Shrewsbury; both offices being part of The Property Franchise Group.

Richard joined Belvoir in 2016 after 10 years of estate agency experience in central London and since then has worked at Belvoir Shrewsbury with Paul. He has now moved into the lead role in the business allowing Paul to gradually retire after a second career, in which he won the Belvoir Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021 and, with Richard, the Belvoir Franchise of the Year award in 2024.

Richard Wallace-Tarry commented: “We are also thrilled that Lindsey Medley, the previous owner of Martin & Co Shrewsbury, has joined our team as a business development manager to oversee the transfer of properties and focus on the further growth of our estate agency business. Lindsey has over 20 years of industry experience and will be a huge asset to Belvoir Shrewsbury.

“Belvoir Shrewsbury is now becoming one of the main players in the Shrewsbury property market. Having initially opened in 2002 as a letting agency, the business moved into sales 10 years ago and is now a fully-fledged estate agency covering all disciplines in the industry. This acquisition means that Belvoir Shrewsbury now looks after over 500 rental properties.”

Ellie Hall, Belvoir Group MD, added: “This expansion further strengthens their [Paul and Richard Wallace-Tarry’s] position in the local property market and reinforces the exceptional service they provide to landlords, and tenants alike.

“It is also fantastic to welcome Lindsey Medley to the Belvoir Shrewsbury team; Lindsey’s expertise will be invaluable in ensuring a seamless transition for landlords and tenants while driving further growth for the business.

“Belvoir Shrewsbury continues to go from strength to strength, and with Richard now taking the lead role, following years of working alongside Paul, the future of the business is in excellent hands. This is a hugely exciting milestone for Belvoir Shrewsbury, and I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of the team.”
