SKY SPORTS viewers were left in stitches with Roy Keane’s priceless reaction to new pundit Daniel Sturridge.

The pair linked up with Micah Richards for punditry duties on the first Super Sunday of the new Premier League season.

Following Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea, defender Trent Alexander-Arnold joined the crew for a live interview.

But insightful Sturridge – who will certainly bring a fresh angle on Sky this season – risked the wrath of no-nonsense Keane.

The ex-Chelsea and Liverpool striker told Alexander-Arnold: “Keep it funky with ya boy,” before going on to address the Reds midfield.

But as the England right-back burst into laughter, the camera stayed fixed on Keane, whose face was absolutely hilarious.

The former Manchester United captain remained motionless, staring out blankly into the distance.

Keane, 52, then blinked and looked into the ground, almost recognising he simply had to accept it before appearing to resist a smile.

But while the Irishman managed to keep his reaction under wraps, fans on social media let rip with some phenomenal responses to match Keane’s own reaction.

One said: “Sturridge is gonna make Roy quit – man said keep it funky.”

Another wrote: “Roy’s face when Studgey said ‘keep it funky wit your boy’ LOOOOOOL.”

A third added: “Sturridge saying ‘keep it funky with me boy’ in front of Roy Keane is so wild.”

A fourth typed: “Keano looks like he’s gonna swing at Sturridge.”

A fifth commented: “Roy questioning everything in life that led him to this moment.”

And a final user joked: “Won’t be long till Keane resigns from his position.”

Sturridge later tried to win Keane back over by suggesting he was an “absolute terror of a midfielder” and would be worth £150million if he was playing football in the current era.

Keane, who was once the record British transfer when he joined United for £3.75m in 1993, insisted he should be valued higher than the £100m-plus-rated midfielders such as Declan Rice, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

But Sturridge undid his hard work with his new colleague by impersonating Keane’s sensational “big baby” rant then patting him on the shoulder – prompting Keane to look at presenter Dave Jones and roll his eyes.

And to top it all off, Sturridge burst into singing Usher’s song Nice & Slow with Keane again left utterly bemused.

Although this time he reluctantly admitted it was “very nice” and allowed a smile.

Earlier in the programme, Richards rinsed Keane for his packed lunch while the straight-talking pundit in turn tore into Reece James for his defending that allowed Luis Diaz to open the scoring.

Chelsea debutant Axel Disasi bundled in an equaliser before the break to earn a 1-1 draw in Mauricio Pochettino’s first competitive game in charge of the Blues.
