Summer is finally here, and the weather is not the only thing heating up. Discounts on electric vehicles are also on the rise. Ford is giving buyers new ways to save through its new Summer Sales Event, starting July 9, 2024. Ford’s EVs, including the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, are on sale with new summer deals.
Ford Mach-E, F-150 Lightning score new summer deals
After selling nearly 24,000 electric cars in the second quarter, Ford remained the second best-selling EV brand in the US. Ford edged out rival GM as EV sales surged 61%.
With 44,180 electric vehicles sold through the first half of 2024, Ford trails only Tesla in the US. The Mustang Mach-E had its best-ever first half, with over 22,200 models delivered.
Ford’s F-150 Lightning remained America’s top-selling electric truck with new competition like Tesla’s Cybertruck and the Chevy Silverado EV RST hitting the market. Its EVs are even drawing customers from rivals, with 62% of F-150 Lightning and 54% of Mach-E customers new to Ford.
To keep the momentum going, Ford is offering new summer deals on its electric vehicles. Ford introduced its Summer Sales Event on Tuesday, July 9, giving customers new ways to save on its EV models.

Ford extended several F-150 Lightning offers nationwide. The 2023 F-150 Lightning is now available for 0% APR for 72 months. The higher Platinum trim also earned $7,500 in Retail Bonus Cash.
All 2024 models are now available with 0% APR for 60 months. This incentive is significant as it is one of the first 0% APR offers on the Lightning since its launch.
