Former Texas Rep. Will Hurd, a Republican, announced Thursday he’s running for president. Hurd made the announcement on CBS and singled out both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump in a video announcing his candidacy, saying Biden would win again if Trump secures the GOP nomination. Hurd, who represented Texas’s 23rd congressional district, joins a crowded field of GOP hopefuls including Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina.
