The former aide to Margret Thatcher Piers Pottinger has warned that the Tory party is “very close to oblivion” and that Nigel Farage will win the next general election.
Speaking to GB News Pottinger said that the Conservative Party are “has beens” who are to blame for current mess the UK is in.
He said, “Reform, I have absolutely no doubt, with the momentum they’ve got, they will win the next election.”
Farage is the real opposition leader, he added, “If you ask people in the street, ‘who is leading the opposition?’, most would say Nigel Farage.”
Reform UK is the most favourable political party in the UK and Farage has the best favourability rating in the House of Commons, according to a new poll.

A survey carried out by Ipsos shows Farage is 20% ahead of the Tory leader, Kemi Badenoch, 29% ahead of Ed Davey and 24% ahead of Keir Starmer.
Reform UK’s favourability rating stands at 29% which is the political party’s highest ever, the Express reports.
The Prime Minister’s rating is plummeting and 53% of voters would not vote the party back in, whilst the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves stands at 47% of being unfavourable, Labour has fallen 21 points over the past year.
Farage has also been tipped to possibly become the next British Prime Minister as the polling company Electoral Calculus has painted a warning scenario for Keir Starmer.
Martin Baxter who is the CEO of the polling company told GB News on Sunday that it is possible Farage could become the next Prime Minister at the next general election.
Baxter told GB News that Reform UK have “gained a lot of votes” in six months since Labour won the general election and amid a series of controversial decisions Farage’s party has taken the votes “mostly from Labour.”
Starmer and Kemi Badenoch, the tory leader stands at 26% and Farage is closely behind at 21.9%.
Showing GB News a graph he said, “The graph here is showing is the number of seats that Reform will win, under our predictions, against the vote share they get.
“But the interesting thing is that, at the moment, they’re on 15% support and just five seats. If they get up to 25% support in the polls, they get about 100 seats.
“So, depending how many people support them, the more support they get, the more seats they get.”
